Andres Dres Titus was the lead rapper of the alternative hip hop duo Black Sheep, which he formed in 1989 with Mista Lawnge. On its 1991 debut album, A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, Dres had a smooth rhyme flow, with a dose of light humor, which gave him praise in the hip hop community. Later, his style became more serious, with the release of Black Sheep's 1994 album Non-Fiction. Due to the lackluster sales of their sophomore album, Dres and Mista Lawnge split up and started independent projects.
