Tamara Detro, known by the stage name Tamara De Treaux, was an American actress. She stood 31 inches tall. She was one of the performers who played ET in Steven Spielberg's film E. T., squatting inside the animatronic puppet. She also played one of the three creatures in John Newland's horror TV movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. She was the verified shortest ever actress
